Since its establishment as a restaurant business in 2013, the 30 year anniversary of the establishment of ONODERA GROUP, it has continued to convey sophisticated Japanese food culture to the world through traditional Japanese foods such as sushi, tempura and teppanyaki.

Inaugural restaurant opening in Tokyo, Japan: Sushi Ginza Onodera Souhonten.

November 2013

First overseas expansion into the U.S. with Sushi Ginza Onodera Hawaii.

January 2016

Expansion into Los Angeles, California with Sushi Ginza Onodera California.

March 2016

Expansion into Shanghai, China with Ginza Onodera Shanghai.

May 2016

Third U.S. restaurant expansion into New York with Sushi Ginza Onodera New York.

July 2019

Introduced a new style of restaurant in Japan with Makiyaki Ginza Onodera.

October 2021

10th Restaurant Opening with Kaiten Sushi Ginza Onodera Honten.

April 2022

Sushi Ginza Onodera Toryumon Grand Opening.

October 2023

Ginza Onodera Sushi Academy opens to expand funnel of trained chefs.

Early 2024

Kaiten Sushi (revolving sushi bar) is set to open in Honolulu, HI.

Spring 2024

Sushi Ginza Onodera Nagoya is set to open at The Royal Park Hotel Iconic Nagoya.
